A poppy cross tribute was laid on behalf of the people of Dumfries and Galloway constituency this week at a Garden of Remembrance in the grounds of the Palace of Westminster.
Alister Jack, Scotland Secretary and the local MP, was following in the footsteps of House of Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle, who led the commemoration.
The lawns beside Parliament included marked tributes from all 650 UK constituencies, 56 member countries of the Commonwealth together with British Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies.
